About

CommonGround bridges the gap between the town and its residents by inserting a previously missing element: Interactive, asynchronous community engagement. Connect with your fellow residents about issues that affect YOU! CommonGround is the product of a partnership between the Initiative for Digital Public Infrastructure (iDPI) at UMass Amherst and Amherst Media

Guidelines

CommonGround is a place for thoughtful discussion. It’s a place to connect with your neighbors and to keep in the know about what’s happening in your backyard. We want everyone to feel free to share their perspective and to feel safe, welcome and respected when using CommonGround.

In summary, we ask you to uphold one main idea as you use CommonGround: These are the people in your town. Treat everyone here with respect.

You don't need an account to read the discussion on CommonGround, but you do need an account if you want to participate. To see the discussion on CommonGround without an account you can go to this link.
